Meet the cook

The kitchen behind FreshPlate Daily

I'm Aisha Khan — a self-taught home cook writing from a small kitchen in Lahore. Every recipe on this site is something I actually cook on rotation: tested at least three times, weighed in both grams and cups, and written with the small details that help it work the first time you try it.

No studio gear, no fancy props — just a wooden counter, natural light, and a slightly chaotic spice drawer. If a recipe doesn't earn a spot in our weekly rotation, it doesn't get published.

Our process

How every recipe is made

Behind every post is a multi-step testing process — so what works in our kitchen works in yours.

01

Develop

An idea is sketched, ingredients sourced fresh, and a first draft is cooked from scratch.

02

Retest

Each recipe is remade at least 3 times — measurements adjusted, timings verified.

03

Photograph

Natural light, real plates, no props or food-styling tricks. What you see is what you cook.

04

Publish

Step-by-step instructions, weight measurements and notes go live for you to enjoy.
